Oklahoma Territorial Museum & Carnegie Library - Guthrie

The Oklahoma Territorial Museum and Carnegie Library tells the fascinating story of the determined people who laid the foundation for the future state of Oklahoma through artifacts, photographs and paintings. Exhibits within the museum cover the time period from 1889 to 1913 including the first land run in the territory, the events leading up to April 22, 1889, territorial lifestyles including that of the homesteader and urban dweller and a major exhibit chronicling the events and issues leading up to Oklahoma's statehood.
